How do you deal with your nightmares?

Not a single word was heard,

she wept as she slept,

then a creature appeared

in the back of her mind,

it also appeared to be watching

her with great curiosity,

fear lit up her face,

then disappeared without a trace,

soon a voice filled her head,

sweat stained the bed,

her eyes swollen and red,

then claws went deep,

disturbed her sleep,

as her emotions would seep,

searching, probing,

causing the nightmare,

then she would wake,

her heart would shake,

her eyes would ache,

only to hear a chilling,

thrilling,

screeching, haunting laughter continue

in her memory long after

the nightmare had ended.

I turn all the lights on and play gospel and look around all nervously until daylight….that\’s how I handled nightmares. :)
