A Friday night run cheers folks.

The whale far out to sea

Sang a sad lament

Upon the shore

The past was rolling in?

Mixed with the dead

The whale, he sang on         [ The Oceans dieing ]

The man in the rubber suit     [ Tear drop drying ]

Turtle soup? fillet this, fish on a dish….     [ add it to your wish list ]

In that other town far across the sea….    [ has a man like me ]

Taking it in listening watching….       [ sharing caring giving out ]

Ahab of the Northern Nations….       [ sharpens harpoons? ]

The Jokes on them Jokes on you….     [ it isn't even funny ]

Yes, I know Biggest Joke of all….      [ is on me  yeah! ]

The whale far out to see blew steam rings.     [ Remember me.]

I know, it’s a sad thing, it seems so many things are off and we aren’t doing enough about it.

Wonderful poem on the pathetic situation.

People may think it was mere personification, but I think humans are only taking advantage of the fact that the other inhabitants can’t make themselves heard.

    Thanks for the post!

It is sad, but a fact of life. A poignant piece, Matt. Well done.
