Going back to a place, a very special place, where when children used to play and giggle. They go back for that carefree play and to remember.

A day  full of grace

is sunshine on my face.

Tag, your it.

Now let’s play a game.

Chase me around

the old home place.

Let’s take our shoes off

and have a foot race.

The freshly mowed grass beneath our feet,

is a feeling that could never be beat.

It’s wonderful to be back out

into the elements again,

to play and run,

and act as a kid again.

Remembering our childhood way back then.

Falling down,

and rolling around.

Making childish giggling sounds.

Let’s keep this special place

active in our minds,

and remember the times

that has brought us here.

The old home place

is forever imprinted in our DNA,

and we will come back

again to play,

 come one summer’s day.

Very good. I enjoy reading lines with bare feet in freshly cut grass. Don’t know why. Well done.
