An original poem by Aubrey Lambach.

in the dark of night i call to you,

you don’t hear me.

in the dark of night i reach for you,

my silhouette, a mere dark blemish in the night.

before my eyes—

endless black.

my heart fills with the scent of darkness.

no trace of light remains.

where do i go now?

even light must have an origin.

and that origin is you.
