The Overcomer

The trials of life are coming to take a gripping hold,

Will you seek the warmth found in God’s Word or be left in the cold?

Satan waits as the darkness engulfs many peoples hearts,

He lures them away from all light, to throw his final fiery dart.

Desolation and despair are the works of such an evil being,

Christians are blinded by his confusion to a point without seeing,

He seeks to destroy those that seek to follow the True Light.

Cutting the Christians down that want and try to put up a fight.

Satan is lurking around and sits for your one grave mistake,

But the Word of God we Christian must hold close and partake,

Taking with us to God the mighty and unforgotten power of prayer,

For Satan knows its strength and all his minions are frightfully aware.

A Christian on his knees is a strength beyond human comprehension,

Cause we have the One for us who made The Great Intercession,

The Mighty Judge, and our Lord Jesus Christ sits upon the Throne.

Striking fear into the Evil One, for his fate is already known.

“Be Still, and know that I am God” the Creator proclaims,

For He is our Deliverer and Shelter from the dreaded flames.

He is the One to whom all Christians can always confide,

He is our Trust and our Shield, dispersing the darkness that does abide.

Our God can deliver the Christians that are in the Serpent’s prison,

For it was His only Son that gave His Blood and three days was Risen,

For no greater power rests then that of God Almighty above,

For by Him is the darkness Satan promotes smothered by His great Love.

For the Overcomer went to the grave and conquered Death’s tormenting,

So who’s to say God can’t deliver us from the trials until this life’s ending?

The Grace and Mercy of Jehovah is found in this one great proclamation,

For He has already given us Heaven through His Eternal Invitation!
