Before you realize it, the passion can disappear in a relationship.

Where did it go– and when?
His died, just when mine was strongest for him.
I look in his eyes and see only a stare
The look I love is no longer there.
When did it go– and where?
The touch I crave is gone from his hands
No fingers caress my wedding band.
His arms are empty,  I’m not in them
Where did it go– and when?
The desire that heats me up so much
Doesn’t come, there is no touch.
My emotions are just as strong as they were before
Come on to me, baby, it’s you I adore.
This love is strong, more than I know
I’m still here waiting for you so true.
Please, return the PASSION, we both still care.
When did it go– and WHERE?

Losing passion in a relationship is a very lonely place. I don’t like this place. You have inspired my next article. ~G

    Thanks, Gerlaine,

I don’t like that lonely place either. I appreciate your comments very much. Good luck on that article. I’d like to see it when finished.

Very nice, I like your style. I seem to be caught in a specific rhythm and it now feels like a rut that plaques every poem I write. I can’t wait to read more of your poems and articles! :) Great Name too btw…lol (wonder what else we have in common?) So far, name, writing, broken heart, hmmmm….

    Passion burns and fuel consumes
Be patient heart til time resumes

    Please forgive the sophomoric rhyme.

Just wait for it and it will return stronger than before.
