A simple thing like a piece of cloth,
can make the world go round.
Many uses this thing has,
and more that may be found.

From birth control to nicotine,
it will fix you like a charm.
You can put it anywhere,
on your leg, back or arm.

It can darn your clothes,
or decorate a pocket.
It can mend your software
or fix the shuttle rocket.

Patch is such a simple word.
It fits just like a glove.
But it is a short term fix for happiness
and in it you can’t find love.
