My love of country, flag, and thankfulness for those who have paid the price for my freedom.

Being an American is an Honor to me
It’s such a privilege to live in this land of the free.
To show our colors, oh how proudly they fly
Red, white and blue unfurled in the sky!
It’s a privilege to worship in the church of my choice,
To hear Freedoms ring and Miss Liberty’s voice.
To remember the Patriots who gave up their all
And made the ultimate sacrifice for Freedoms sweet call.
I refuse to take for granted my Countrymen who’ve died,
Or how they gave their lives for peace
That “I” may live this life.
Yes, I’ll be a proud American until my last twilight,
When her colors are gently lowered to earth……
                                                          And folded for the night.
