Change is painful but well worth the cost.

You showed the entire world,

It could be done without,

Gunfire from you the people.

No second amendment remedies,

As some have advocated.

Tho’ many died as you marched,

You stood for a peaceful transition,

Of power to be turned over,

To the Egyptian people.

You reached your first goal,

To change your country.

Now you must remain steadfast,

As a new civilian government,

Eventually becames a reality.

Continue to embrace peacefulness,

As more change takes place.

You have played a great part,

In the ever changing history,

Of the great country of Egypt.

We are the witnesses,

To the powerful strength and,

The sheer determination

Of the Egyptian people.

I am still watching with interest. Hopefully it all comes to a peaceful end. It looks like the people are winning…

Beautiful !! As has been said, life, whole life may not be contained in a tiny box! Let the Egyptian people sing and dance, surely they have earned their freedom from oligarchy.

Yes, they have done it! In their eight thousand years of history, it is for the first time that the Egyptian people have brought this changed. My good wishes to them and the other people who are still being ruled by their atrocious rulers.

More than that your poetic lines have given them a new meaning. I love the way you say it.
    God bless you
