Symbolically comparing pen and parchment to a person’s course in life, as it cannot be erased.

As much as the inkwell
Leaves an indelible stain upon the parchment,
The parchment of one’s self cannot be replaced or erased
In the same time the mind will design
And choose it’s own leaf of that parchment, it’s own course,
On which it will record whatever it chooses;
Whether it be dictated by Him or by the Fates,
The writer’s instrument shall record
What cannot be undone,
For all to see, whether they be
Vengeful or helpful thoughts.
