Fond memories of my girlhood and my best friends, my sisters.
There we were, we three
Sally, Carolyn and me.
Like three little angels from heaven!
At the age of three, five and seven.
In ruffled dresses of candy pink
We were so cute, cuddly, adorable (I think?)
With pink satin ribbons to tie-up our curls,
What sweet and innocent little girls!
But out of those dresses and into blue jeans,
(Hang-on folks, this is a different scene!)
We dug in the dirt, and climbed the tree.
Capturing toads we giggled with glee!
Shot down spiders with and old cork gun
Boy, don’t think that wasn’t fun!
For those who knew us (but not too well)
My sisters and I were the perfect belle!
