My most intricate, exquisite dream expressed through the limited fabrications of my mind and heart. This is, without a doubt, one of my greatest creations to ever fall on paper.
Alone he sits a single boy,
The wolves prey on this sheep.
He’s judged, ignored, thrown out like trash,
And laughed at cause he weeps.
He acts and fakes his happiness,
So others won’t suspect,
That even with external smiles,
He often dreams of death.
Inside his heart beneath the shy,
Dark mask of self-defense,
An angel soft throughout the soul,
Forced and made to pretend.
But anytime he has the chance,
To show his trust again,
He is betrayed, stabbed in the back,
Heart buried in the sand.
The lonely dream that keeps him sane,
A hope for which to live,
To find a girl and find true love,
On this his life depends.
January, senior year, he walks through his school halls,
And stops to comfort a young girl,
At her locker she bawls.
She was like him in many ways,
At first she would not speak.
He showed the side he hid within,
Her silence was extinct.
She cried to him held in his arms,
To her he did the same.
He found out she’d always been lone,
First friend, he took that claim.
He went with her that noon at lunch,
To her house for the day.
Tears filled his eyes for this poor girl,
For whom lived in dismay.
No gas or working energy,
House molded with decay.
She spoke of how both parents died,
Alone she lived each day.
No friends, no love, no family,
Had made her want to die.
So secretly she held this thought,
And twice tried suicide.
The boy had come to be the one,
In which she could confide,
He wrapped her tightly in his arms,
Into his chest she cried.
He brought a blanket the day next,
Heats up so she can sleep,
And every day he went at lunch,
To cuddle her tightly.
The girl so lone who died inside,
The boy who lost it all,
Feel deep in love, became as one,
To catch when they would fall.
She was his angel, him her prince,
A match made in the stars.
They lived for only one another,
Never fought at all.
That once cold house now held warm love,
That still remains you see,
Both found someone to hold and trust,
For all eternity… ♥
