(I’ve had a few years, where emotions ran rampant and a lot of turmoil was present, as well as love, in my life. Since that tends to breed creativity I’m re-living those moments in my mind, in order to write a series of works call "The Dark Series". This is Part 4. This one is more of just fantasy.)
The woman in me with dark fiery eyes
And dark brown and red hair like morning skies
A determination deep inside brewing underneath
A passionate in her soul and a magic that she has managed to keep
She has been obliterated in her destined fire multiple times
Pain and torture have ripped shards in her heart and her life
Beaten and bruised and set on fire in her soul repeatedly
Yet at the end of every era of pain she has her epiphany
She crawls out of the lava with a piercing stare
Her intensity shows in her skin and her glare
She takes the pieces of her mind and memories of people that burned her
And the moments where she destroyed herself, and adds them to the turn
Her soul and power rises to grab them and mold the floating ball of fire
And ensues an assault of wrath, and destroys that pain, to again find her desire
She then repairs her wounds slowly, and her power over time continues to build
And seeks light again in her life, and again tries to tread on the fields
The flames absorb back in her skin so that she can try to cross flammable ground again
And in her steps eventually finds a little bit of strength within
She’s done this all alone you see
A Phoenix tends to roll with the punches and flames of what is to be
Every time she anticipates there will be someone like her along the way
She realizes that she sets that too on fire somehow, and brings another painful day
Finding a like soul, with skin that burns like hers
So she can touch that person’s soul without issuing them a curse
It will take the mirrored Phoenix that was designed just for this woman
There will never be more than one that will truly hold her tight, a solo coven
Only one can hold this wild heart and powerful nature in his grasp
Finding that one other burning soul is quite the task
She was touched in a confusion that made her fire start to ignite
Does this mean this is the Phoenix meant to restart the light
She’s peering around at him looking in odd curiosity
Scared to dare even imagine this would ever be her destiny
He has the mark of a Phoenix and a soul in appearance of being the same
But she will be leary with wings in place, to avoid walking into a game
She’ll keep her eye on the curious one and the stars above
Until either another fire burns her to the ground, or he saves her with his love
