Italian love sonnet.

So here we are alone again my dear
To share our special picnic with this tree
Which waited for its lovers to appear
And kept our precious bed so carefully
It must be spring see all the flowers bloom
Do you recall the song that lights the air
As we are warmed by jasmine’s rich perfume
The call for kisses comes from everywhere
Yet do you feel inside that something strange
With all of the perfection which abounds
We’re in a place where nothing seems to change
And in reality it has no grounds.
Our tree now gently sweeps us to the sky
To gaze at lofty lovers set aglow
A scene not sad yet still it makes one sigh
That was us so very long ago
