Two trees talking in a wood.
A proud aging oak tree said to the wind,”Watch me sway upon the breeze,”
“Then you will see the reason why I am the greatest of all English trees,”
The poplar said, ” that may be so, but I too have much pride,”
“I spread my leaves across these woods where squirrels and badgers hide,”
“Within my shade, walkers rest, and from my place I see,”
“The seasons go by and people change making history.
