About a young mans troubles in the military.

Take heed he stands affront the door
A man once knew himself before
Now wonders why and how once more
Tired and driven
All his life
A dancing question
Tugs his mind
He loved so much so casually
He told his friends that he’d be back
And now they don’t know where he’s gone
And now his lover’s
Lost for words
She cries at night
So he thinks
The screams inside his ears they hurt
But life is something more than what
He had dreamed to take before
He’s lost sometimes
Inside the time
Reminds him of
Her simple life
The place where he has found himself
Is different than he’d thought so he
Still leaves a manly tear at night
Still stricken by
The distance
He leaves himself
To find her
Between the dreams of agony
He almost tastes humanity
And dreams about her once again
His vendetta
So the same
The others soldiers
Feel his pain
He thinks about his friends now gone
Disputing life and the reasons
Never enough to doubt his worth
He misses her
And wants to touch
Her and see
Her one last time
But his life demands a duty
It is a calling that he feels
A curse to men now and always
Will the end
Be foreseen
Will he get a chance
To say goodbye?

I greatly appreciated this poem. You can tell a lot of feeling went into this piece, and feeling separates great poems from the rest.
