Poetry ~ The Red Queen.
There once was a queen who ruled a land,
with fear and cruelty, with an iron hand.
And for every mistake, these words she had said,
Off with his head! Off with his head!
Living in her castle of red,
lying down in her Queen sized bed,
Always strolling with an aura of dread,
One mistake and you’ll end up dead.
Off with his head! Off with his head!
These very words the queen had said,
to the baker who baked the wrong bread,
and to the queen it had been fed.
Off with his head! Off with his head!
To the gardener, 2 days dead,
For painting the queen’s roses white and not red,
Off with his head! Off with his head!
The people are furious, of the queen in red,
They want her life, They want her dead,
And on her death, no tear will be shed,
Off with her head ! Off with her head!
And on the day the queen will be wed,
there was an uprising, a rebellion’s been led!
The queen was caught , and the sentence is said,
Off with her head! Off with her head!
