THE REMNANT

In deepest, darkest water,

Lies the answer of ages untold,

Lost in great cycles of time,

Waiting in the ocean’s cold;

The ones who came before us,

Our ancestors from before time,

Who took upon themselves to be,

More than men and committed the crime;

Abstained from worshipping the true God,

Taking all glory unto themselves,

Paid with the ultimate penalty,

A deluge, into oceans delved;

One man and a family stood out,

Remembering their God in all,

Rescued and sent to repopulate the earth,

Heeding and answering God’s call;

So it was in Noah’s day,

And so now it is in ours,

Do we heed God’s calling to us?

Or do we enter the final hours?
