Ex lovers secretly reunite on a hot afternoon. Written 11/8/05.
Beneath spinning wooden blades
Emotions rage on uncontrollably
Like an afternoon inferno
Strong arms grasp delicate limbs
Heavy air echoes from warm throats
Familiar feelings awaken from within
Who says they have to know?
What we crave or what we need;
What we once just had in mind.
They’re too young to understand.
Holding them close to our hearts,
We enjoy this ride together.
In time this evening may cause regrets
But for now, however long “now” may be,
Pleasurable company is our desire.
Once temptation begins to fade
This encounter will slowly end
Becoming a mere part of our imagination.
