This poem is to justify those who say they don’t wish to retire or falter to low productivity due to old age; until death do us part.
Retiree
Why retire of old age
Only to lock me up in a homeless cage
Boredom of the work and disintegrating energy
Never for me for I love that which I do; towards it I’m never lazy
Why should I linger so long?
To sing me an eternal song
What’s wrong with now or even today
I want to retire everyday and work every day but how, which way
I retire to sleep every night and wake to work with the first breath every morning
I stretch from my retirement and start my journey walking
Repeating this strategy to success and power and greatness governs me
Spending time with friends and family is equivalent to retiring constructively
With God as my protector, deliverer, partner, and witness
This business can only flourish into continual success
Not even the dark forces dare stop me
Instead they willingly follow me
Attracting all the necessaries of this life will be a smoothie to drink
All those who deserted me will become a sailing battleship destined to sink
Or not; for forgiveness is boiling in the pot
I think I should give to all those deserving and to the undeserving until I return to the earth to rot.
