A poem about love, and how it’s a room (with ninety-nine doors).

For so long, I thought this love as fantastic:

A room with ninety-nine doors, and,

after picking one to enter,

I am again presented with ninety-nine doors.

And so on, like this. A door is chosen, ninety-nine presented.

“What possibilities this love has,”

I would remark.

For so long, I thought this love as fantastic:

A room with ninety-nine doors.

That is, until I realized

every door led me back to where I’d started.
