A poem about needing love so much, you sacrifice who you really are.
Hold on to me
You know I like it when you do
Look at me like you want me
Even if you really don’t want to
Lust after me
Let me think you love me
Please love me
Don’t want this to get ugly
What am I supposed to do with goodbye?
Sit here and allow you to let me cry?
Just trying to remember why
I allowed the real me to die
It should have been obvious
It should’ve been so obvious
But I was fooled
Into thinking I loved you
