How do you know which is the sad little star? How many bright stars are there? How many houses are there? Why did the sad little star wished that the clouds were higher?
There was once a sad bright little star. She was not very bright. That is why she was so sad.
All around were bright, shinning stars. “Just look at us,” they said. “See how bright we are.”
The stared at the sad little star.
“You are very dull, little star. What is wrong with you?”
They shook their heads angrily. “Really, we are quite ashamed of you,” they said.
The sad little star looked down at the world. She looked at the hills and the sea. She looked at the white clouds flying across the sky. The star wished the clouds were higher.
