Three years ago my children helped me move. Today, I need the title for my truck.

I found buffy scripts
Transcripts,
papers ripped
And lots, lots more…

but the truck title,
Not the truck title,
It doesn’t exist anymore!

I found kazoos
Old news
Bills from 1952
(Ok, my mother was a packrat too)

I found
Lesson plans
House plans
A recipe for beans and ham

I found
Grade cards
Cloth yards
Seeds for spinach and swiss chard

I found old shoes
Torn up trews
Ex-husband’s battle-mat views

Dig and delve
Though I might
No title has come in sight.

Mutter, mutter
Under breath
Imprecations, pain of death;

No matter how busy you may be
NEVER LET THY KIDS PACK FOR THEE!

It’s a difficult lesson to learn and I don’t even have kids.

I’m smiling although I know it’s not funny. It’s possible to obtain a duplicate title here. I’m sure it is in Ol’ Miss, as well. Of course, once you get a duplicate you’ll find the original.

Daisy, loved your poem. Did you move? It sounds like you did. I did it 8 years ago and I hope I never do it again. That\’s a job I can do without.

Ha ha! It is a wonder there was any room for you in the truck. A great read.

Nicely done. It’s the kids getting back at you for making them clean their rooms.

Cute poem. I always put things were I know I will find them and then I can’t find them. Guess that’s life.
