Pretentious are snobs in what they do

They are full of airs

Conscious of their positions all their way

As they climb up the stairs.

Unscrupulous are their methods

While climbing posts of authority

They ever fish for praise

They are the epitome of incongruity.

Modesty has no place in their lives

Magnanimity has no trace

They have no peace in their scheming mind

They ever fear their fall from grace.

Oh, they’re strutting everywhere

I rant this in sheer despair.
