The Sober Bar Attendant

Having once worked in a bar you see many things whilst sober, tipsy people dont realise how funny they can be!

Working behind the bar, I see from a far,

Rather tipsy people and how funny they are,

A man stands alone dancing like mad,

Don’t think he realises just how bad,

Girls do there make-up in a reflective light,

Plastered on lipstick could give you a fright,

Lads want to wrestle and be head of the team,

Joking about girls and which ones they’ve seen,

Dance Floor is full of teens on the pull,

A older man staggers past like a raging bull,

People dancing to imaginary songs,

People pull off clothes to show off there thongs,

Alcohol can be bizarre and send people mad,

But some results are worse and some can be bad,

Drink with moderation is what i must say,

At least that way you will live another day,

Socialising is good but just don’t go mad,

Because statistics show that sometimes its sad.

I’ve noticed that when you aren’t drinking when everyone around you is that you really notice the desperation.

This is so funny. I liked it! It reminds me of me the “one time” I got drunk. We were at a friends house and off came our clothes and we actually ended up running around outside and playing tag! Yeah not good. She lives right by the fast food restaurant. lol
Fortunately my husband was thinking it to be pretty funny. lol Yeah he was the only sober one.

I dont drink, but frequented bars in my younger single days. And, yes it is funny to watch how rather bland people drink and all of a sudden they feel like they can dance, sing, and look like God’s gift.

Wow! I could get a soap box out! Maybe I should re-think the skeletons in the closet. It is funny sometimes to watch people party while “drinking” ! It is also sad when people become 10 feet tall and bullet proof….. So many lives effected…I like your article. E
