A special dedication.

The power of the pen’s ink,

Showers through my song’s word.

It’s unlike what you think,

It’s a voice never been heard.

Feelings and emotions are but measured,

But my song shall be forever treasured…

Only the songwriter knows she cannot see,

For eyesight, since childhood, was taken from thee.

Only the songwriter knows she cannot hear,

The pain of silence only shown by her tear.

Words hold no barrier for she knows no bound.

She lets her words fly in her mind’s playground.

She cannot hear nor see what you perceive or hear all along,

There lies the secret to this songwriter’s song.

Gifted with silence and no boundary to vision and dreams,

People pity her dumb and deaf, she’s not the one who screams.

Her strength is upon the written song,

For she, the songwriter, knows where she belongs.

Amidst a world of fantasies and lyrics,

She alone can relate music and physics.

No, she is not the “deaf and dumb”.

It’s us who careless about the respect that is numb.

Pity her not, the simple songwriter,

She smiles at me, making my heart lighter.

Never underestimate a songwriter,

For she’s not helpless, she’s a fighter.

This is for you, my dearest songwriter.

“She alone can relate music and physics” – I so like this line. One who is deprived of one (or more) of her senses tend to understand things a little differently, yes? It’s amazing to see what we know through their minds.
