Have you ever noticed that there is sadness and sorrow in horror stories.

The Sorrow of Horror

19 Aug 09

Tears
Frowns
Broken heart
The creature is filled with pain

Lonely heart of emptiness
Has nowhere to turn
Striking out
The creature loses self

Dark tones
Darkness
Creepy sad music
The creature seeks what is lost

Gone forever
Not understood
Creating great wrath
The creature strikes out

We do not know
The creatures heart
We do not know
The creatures pain

We do not help
We chase away
We teach terribleness
The creature wants revenge

Sorrow
Sorrow
Sorrow
The creature is filled with Sorrow

Oh Woe
Oh Woe is the creature
Misunderstood
The creature must die

Fire
It burns the heart deeply
Sorrow burns like fire
The creature dies by fire

Very nice insight. I pondered these same things several years ago. It is true, those type have the same story line.
