I awakened one morning to the sound of muffled calling.

From somewhere the distant cry upon my ears was falling.

I struggled from my sleep to discern from where it came.

Though I could not tell it came just the same.

The words I could not understand, but the message was clear.

Though the calling seemed from far away, I knew that it was near.

Searching for an answer, my mind begins to reflect.

With all seeing eyes, my surroundings I inspect.

The harder I searched without, the more futile was my plight

The more I searched to find, the less grasping was my sight.

Till at last I looked inward, where I found.

The inner calling that now echos all around.

Then I welcomed the sound from within that I hear.

Knowing the joy coming from the message clear.

Speaking the truth I’ve long searched to find.

The voice within gives me peace of mind.

Answered are the questions I’ve long searched to know.

And within the message comes the wisdom I need to grow.

Now within the peace of knowing I reside.

Because the message simply put, said don’t try to hide.

Show the love within your heart to all you know.

Grace everyone with all the giving you have to show.

Treat each one with the respect you want to receive.

But above all be honest, or you’ll be the only one you deceive.
