Finding beauty in a spiderweb.
The Spider’s Web
The everyday spider’s web
Gets such a bad rap
What we see as a nuisance
Is really a trap
We shoo away
Houseflies
And mosquitoes
We swat
Just as
The spider does
But he doesn’t
Leave a spot
So when you see
A spider web
In a corner
Or a tree
Remember that it took
The spider
A bit of time
As he worked on it patiently
He made sure he knitted
His web together
Very carefully
With much room
‘Cause he knows whatever
Crosses its path
Will truly meet its doom
So when next you see
A spider web
Just admire it and let it be
For if you look real close
You’ll be the first to boast
It’s a work of art, a masterpiece
On display for all to see
