Jesus Christ came to the earth, was tempted and tried like we are, and yet did not sin. The remission of sin comes only by the shedding of innocent blood. In the Old Testament this required the sacrificing of a lamb without spot, The Bible calls Jesus THE LAMB OF GOD that takes away the sin of the world. The Blood of Christ cleanses us from all sin. Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin.

No sin was thus forgiven
But by the Spotless Lamb.
The blood upon the doorposts,
Passover’s ordered sign,
Could not be accomplished
But by the Spotless Lamb
Bruised for our transgressions
And wounded for our sin
No other’s stripes could heal us
But by the Spotless Lamb.
Satan’s grip is broken.
The serpent’s head is bruised.
Sin and Death are conquered
By Christ the Spotless Lamb.
No sacrifice could profit.
No one the price could pay.
No other blood would offer
But Christ’s the Spotless Lamb
