The State of Maine in Poetry.

Maine is a state; Portland is its mate;

Crabs are their specialty; the splendid of its variety;

Lighthouses galore; shore to shore;

Dwellers delight; visitors response oh what a sight;

Shoppers dream; a fisherman’s stream;

The autumn breeze; no need to freeze;

Maine Turnpike smooth to ride; I am glad the sun is on my side;

Moment’s notice; vacation cherished;

Maine is a place to explore and for all to endure.
