The sublime bridge that dangles in abeyance
Across the indigo expanse of the night sky
Under the silent pall of the ebon darkness
It stretches as a ribbon of light to walk upon
To the land of scattered constellations
A melange of refulgent stars like tiny lamp
Incandescent on the dark face of the inky horizon
The bridge is made by the hands of ambidextrous thoughts
Stars in a medley in various shapes or images
With silver auras to light up the heavens deserted by Sol
Ursa Major and Minor are the starry bears lost
In the dark woods of the universe
Along the silver bay- Milky Way that hurls in the heavens
Andromeda with her parents and husband mutely shine
As the saga of vanity and love enfold
On the threshold of Somnus ,in solitude
The sky is a celestial zoo with animals sculpted out of stars
Leo the lion, Pavo the peacock ,Aries the ram, the dove Columba
Taurus the bull, the dolphin, Delphinus and Cygnus the swan
All scattered on the canvas of the night sky
While the hunter Orion lays its trap of mirages
Serpens the snake hisses softly , viciously
Its sound lost in the whisper of nocturnal breeze
Apus is the bird of garden of Eden
Phoenix, a starry melange together forming a bird
That comes alive from the ashes of its own pyre
Hercules ,the hero amongst mortals
Smiles benignly in twinkles through olio of the past
Over the dark silhoetted horizons at night
I yearn to sojourn in this land , meadow of stars
That guarded by the Canis Major and Minor
And trespassers from the mortal word
Who only welcomes the souls of the dead
Those that sparkle as newborn stars
On the dark face of night sky…
