The summer sun shines,
Baking all the land with heat,
Trees make inviting shade.

Nice haiku. The summer sun seemed particularly hot this past year and the shade offered little relief.

I too live where the sun seems to bake one during the summer and any bit of shade that something else isn’t occupying is most welcome.
