The Ticking Clock.

The eerie and mysterious sound of the ticking
Nothing but silence, except for the clock’s ticking
Off in the distance, the faint sound of footsteps
With a rocking chair rocking back-and-forth

The eerie and mysterious sound of the ticking
Nothing but silence, except for the clock’s ticking
Faint breathing and a tapping foot can be heard
Just faint sounds and the ticking, without a word

The eerie and mysterious sound of the ticking
Nothing but silence, except for the clock’s ticking
The tapping stops, while the rocking chair continues to rock back-and-forth
The faint sound of yawning can be heard

The eerie and mysterious sound of the ticking
Nothing but silence, except for the clock’s ticking
The clock continues to tick for the time being
More faint yawning can be heard

The eerie and mysterious sound of the ticking
Nothing but silence, except for the clock’s ticking
The clock reaches 12:00A.M. and the ticking finally stops
At last…. The yawning can stop, as sleep can now be gotten

Tick tock, tick tock, goes the ticking of the clock
No other sound, except for the clock’s ticking
Faint snoring, as an old man rests, peacefully
Even with the continuous ticking

Tick tock, tick tock, goes the ticking of the clock
No other sound, except for the clock’s ticking
The old man slowly wakes up and stretches
As the clock continues to tick

Tick tock, tick tock, goes the ticking of the clock
No other sound, except for the clock’s ticking
The old man gets out of bed, to freshen up a bit
And, the clock continues to tick

Tick tock, tick tock, goes the ticking of the clock
Faint sounds of water running, along with the clock’s ticking
The old man grabs a bite to eat to start his day
With the clock continuing to tick

Tick tock, tick tock, goes the ticking of the clock
The clock strikes 12:00P.M., as the ticking slowly quiets
The old man can finally leave and begin his day of work
As the ticking clock finally stops ticking

Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock
The ticking clock ticks away
No other sound(s), except for faint voices
And sounds of faint footsteps

Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock
The ticking clock ticks away
The faint voices tend to get a little louder and clearer
As does the footsteps

Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock
The ticking clock ticks away
Laughter and cheers f joy occur and fill the air
And the footsteps tend to diminish

Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock
The ticking clock ticks away
The smell of food and desserts fill the air
People gather around and sing the “Happy Birthday” song

Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock
As the party dies down, the clock strikes 12:00A.M.
Family, friends and relatives give hugs and say their goodbyes
The ticking clock finally stops ticking and the cleanup now begins
