Another toddler poem, small childern are so innocent…

The wonders of the toddler,
Amazed at what they find,
They have to analyze it all,
What goes on inside their minds.
~
We buy them lots of great toys,
That are forgotten way to soon.
We buy them dolls, trucks and more,
They would rather have a box and wooden spoon.
~
To have their imagination,
Oh wouldn’t it be grand.
They can find something to do,
With whatever’s in their hands.
~
I wish I had their innocents,
To see things the way they do.
To see the world through their eyes,
To see the world as if it were new.
~
To take life at face value,
As they learn and as they grow.
To see things through their amazement,
To know what the toddler knows.

Nice, refreshing rhyme. There’s as much yet to learn for oldsters if we didn’t think we already knew it all.

So true. Toddlers would rather play with the box the toy came in rather than the toy itself. To be able to go back and be so innocent and trusting would be a joy. :)
