The hilarious story of a first tooth lost with the help of a brave little brother.
An ordinary day it seemed
With books to read and rooms to clean.
The wibble wobble of my tooth
had become annoying, to tell the truth.
It flipped and flopped and gave me pain
To close my jaw was quite a strain.
To eat my meals I had to adjust.
It had to come out, it simply must!
As that pesky tooth flopped forth and back
My mom said, “Why not take a whack
At pulling it out, right here and now.
Take this tissue, I’ll show you how.”
I wrapped it round the silly thing
Hanging there as if by a string.
I grabbed and pulled to no avail.
Just blood, no tooth, my effort failed.
Dad made the offer to give it a try,
But I was worried he’d make me cry.
“I can do it,” my little brother said.
“Let’s give it a try,” I thought in my head.
I opened my mouth big and wide
So he could see clearly as he reached inside.
He wrapped the cotton around my tooth,
Gave a gentle tug and suddenly, POOF!
That tooth was out and I didn’t even know
’til mom looked in and saw the big hole.
“He did it, it’s gone!,” she loudly exclaimed.
A great gap in my mouth was all that remained.
We cheered in awe and amazed surprise
As my brother looked on with his big brown eyes.
None of us could believe it. Was it really true?
It’s wonderful what two brothers can do.
