Have you ever sensed even amongst friends and in relationships you’re alone? Have you felt no one is really listening to your feelings? The truth is because life has distracted us and has placed many chores upon us to even give the time. Our nature has been destroyed through life’s demands.

Love!…
I never  did find any
Others would find many…
Care!…
No  one ever did…
Never gave the time…
Alone!…
I was always alone…
Amongst  a crowd of many…
Listen!…
No one ever listened!…
I lived for myself
I lived for others
Except!…
No one ever lived for me!…
Because No one was ever there!

very strong emotion!! I like the format of this poem. The simplicity in contrast to such painful, relatable emotion.

Like this one..I think its a feeling of being misunderstood..You are never alone when your thoughts are read by people like us..

Very strong poem. You have touched upon deep human emotions related to sadness and being alone. Very nicely expressed.

A strongly written piece,no mistaking the meaning of this one.It happens more then anyone thinks I will bet.You can be in a room fool of people and it seems as if they aren’t there at all..it gets worse if its with friends or a lover.

At some point, we are all alone. I believe this makes us stronger in the long run. Hopefully we can all see past this, as none of us fully understand what the other person is experiencing at the time.
Once I attended a class for beginning actors, and I left my home problems at home. Only after I became friends with some of the other students did I let them know that at the time I was caring for my dying mother. They mentioned that on certain days I seemed aloof and uninterested in their plight, but that wasn’t the case at all: I was simply overwhelmed with other issues.
    Thanks for a fine piece.

I honestly believe that blindness is the secret to happiness, a saddening truth that one, it goes well with the others.

Mehmet this was a powerful poem! As a wife, mother, and grandmother I have often felt alone when the stresses of life weighed heavily on my shoulders. You put into words something I’ve never been able to express well. Thank you.

Very lovely, I think that many feel this way at one time or another. Though I don’t believe we ever are.

    Hi, Suzan.
These are a kind of personal mix of viewpoints stewed up into one very tasty treat. There is lots of angst here. More than a little pain. It’s obvious you’ve been through much.

I hope that beyond all that you are able to see the brighter side.

  • GloReAndr on Mar 5, 2009

Hey I love this poem mostly because its great, plus I know the feeling. Writing, reading, and music get me through it.
