This song / poem is about 9/11. I was very emotional about the whole collapse of the twin towers and the pentagon. This isn’t something you hear about everyday and shouldn’t have happened.

The Two Trees

 I couldn’t believe

            the news I heard today

Gory slivered sadness

            spreads angered hate

Outward I see the signs that

loom over me, what can I say?

Does everyone feel angry? Like a flame

         that spreads like wild fire

I shed my tears for the innocent

          souls that were lost

But could you believe

            the news you heard today?

Losing it all was all over the radio

            and every TV show

 Everyone everywhere understand?

does it bring tears to your eyes?

        to say   those sad good-byes?

So we stand to show our American

   pride, our true side

Stand before every red, white and blue

the thread that binds us whole

I don’t care about how it happened

            or the religion behind it

I don’t care about the fire that threatens

        to burn us

I don’t want to know the war that lies

           before us

I don’t want to waste my dream to the

evil that strives to destroy us

I just want to know why?

Using all that we know did you hear about the dreams of  tomorrow?

So I tremble to the anguish, broken glass       and the smell of blood

All were shaken to the new out break            that has infected us

Lonely with this pain as others feel    sorrow we embrace each other                        with open arms

Longing for the two trees I dream of             heaven and when we will see             others that were lost
