Being a catholic Priest is the most difficult sacrifice a human being with all the natural flaws can do without falling into the trappings of this vocations.

The calling to priesthood

Not a vocation but a spiritual sacrifice

They sit back and listen to Parishioners’

Trials and tribulations

They have no fees to pay

Neither do they worry about nagging wives

They have life employment

Backed up by solid financial support

Free Medicare and community respect

The calling to Priesthood

A journey of unrelenting troubles

Loaded with heavy vows of life time obedience

To the Bishop or Superior

A promise of celibacy and sexual chastity

They have no choice but to do the most unnatural

Thing of crucifying the flesh and fleeing from iniquity

But many battle with adultery

Child molestation and in extreme situations

Murder of the very flock they shepherd

I think orthodox priests are much happier,they can get married.

And here in the Philippines, they deal with embezzlement many times, corrpution, sexual harrassments, and lots of unbecoming sidelines. So disappointing.

It’s just like how the friars handled the Filipinos during the Spanins Colonization. Nothing really changed.

Very nice. I will tell you something, NO priest has ever molested a child. If *I* don’t know how to do it and I am out in the world, how would a priest know what to do? Anyway, Priests are men of God who would never do wrong.

Everybody is a child of “God” if one wants to believe in “God”, but never believe everyone who just lives in a holy place!
