A Poem about an unwelcomed guest.
The Unwelcomed Guest
I am the mouse you tried to catch
Last night, but you are no match
For me, as I am such a dapper guy,
So slick in grey suit, and eagle eye.
You know I can move as fast as a train,
If you look at me I dash down your drain.
I honk a bit when I get out of there,
Then I run in your kitchen without a care.
I munch on your veg when you go out,
Then doss around, and shuffle about
in your fridge, to look for some tasty cheese,
Then go in each room and do as I please.
I like living here, in your nice clean house.
They say that I am a friendly mouse,
But you shout and chase me every day,
I think I’m not welcome, and I get your in way!
