From a window watching all the people going by and wondering who they are and what they are about.

From my window I feel the air cold and damp.

I see rain pelting the pavement

through the light of a street lamp.

People walking with umbrellas bobbing in the wind,

waiting for the cars to pass on Riverbend.

I often wonder about the faithful feet

that so often cruise my happy street.

Who they are, and what is their plan -

Come woman, come child, as well as man.

Whether day or night the view is the same.

All the many faces oblivious to the rain.
