This is dedicated to my nephew, Joe Ginem, who fought off a rare bone cancer and now shares his story and talents with all those in order to help others with cancer. His story can be found on the internet. He is a man beyond his years.

He has taken up his bow

To tame the world we know

Changing the lives of many by

Helping their dreams come true

His life was once in question

Scary times altering direction

To that new road he now travels

With those lucky, yet are few

A remarkable man of stature

Where, in music, he finds rapture

Sharing notes with all the many

Who listen… with ears and heart

As his bow then touches nylon

Angelic choirs sing in unison

Letting nonbelievers believe

As his music just then starts

For standing there on stage

Is a man of tender age

Yet, his music tells his story

As if a man of many years

He uses, well, his music

To tell of when and how he was sick

That now he stands to help all those

Battle theirs and fight their fears

When you look upon him playing

Through his notes, he stands there saying

That he survived and now rejoices

And wants us all to know what’s true

That through wishes and all our dreams

Despite life’s plans and all its schemes

We must be ready to do battle

Through talents… and all that we can do
