Following a sermon I preached on Proverbs 29:18, "Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he." I wrote this poem realizing the actually vision Christians need to have for the lost people of this world…

People in this world today are dying an eternal death,

Many of them never hear of Christ in all their breath,

The wonderful gift of Salvation was never said,

For Christ’s precious blood for them He did shed!

Christians today are too busy caught up in “pleasure”,

Yet they fail to realize that reaching the lost brings greater Celestial treasure.

Their eyes are blinded by the darkness Satan casts upon all man,

Failing to see the urgent need to show people the Light, God’s wondrous plan.

There are multitudes wandering as sheep having no shepherd,

Yet one by one they fall to false prophets who pounce like leopards,

I’m sick and tired of Satan and the countless countries he manipulates and deceives,

Slowly bringing the lost and heathen straight down to their crippled knees.

A Vision is needed to reach the starving and hungering nations,

Who among us will stand up, grab a hold, and tell of the Heavenly Foundation?

The Vision of the Lost is right before us each and every day,

So Christian, fight the good fight for the cause of Christ and battle through the fray!
