The walls shook like crazy.

The ground floor collapsed.

I was petrified with fear

As I was taking my bath.

I wobbled out of the bathroom

And saw the clutter and cracks.

I wondered out loud

If we were under attack.

The answer soon became evident.

I was making a big mistake.

For on this faithful day,

We suffered a huge earthquake.

How I survived this day,

I will never know.

I’m just glad to be alive

After experiencing nature’s show.
