Something for nothing

is not in the English vocabulary,

but nothing for something,

makes me feel a bit wary.

This is how it is for certain.

Always working and

always searching.

Hopeless is what it is.

I surely do miss

being independent unto myself.

This has caused  my life to change,

because of my health.

I have sadly used up

my stores of wealth.

It is very depressing

and I feel that it is progressing.

I have reached the point

that I don’t know what to do.

I never expected

and never knew.

A  bad attitude

is what I try to prevent,

to the extent

that I am able to vent

and sometimes lament.

Listen close, for I am

hoping that others can learn

and be stern

in a manner that will turn

them in their ways,

in the way that pays.
