“And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thundering, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God omnipotent reigns! Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and is wife has made herself ready.” And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the linen is the righteous acts of the saints. — Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!” Revelation 19:6-8, nine.

            Adorned with fine linen

            All white and bright

            ready for her husband,

            Finally the day is here

            The waiting, laced with storms

            Trying and tempting

            Lonesome and frustrating

            Hallelujah, t’is over!

            Multitude invited to witness

            All arrayed in white

            Their faces bright and glowing,

A joyous day for a witness

            Their voices raised in praise

            Hallelujah, t’is over!

            The groom approaches

            His countenance inviting

            He wipes the bride’s tears

as He leads her to the alter

All the witness in unison ululate

            Hallelujah, t’is over!

Very nice poem and the photo you selected to illustrate it was very beautiful. I like to write about weddings, too (non-fiction). If you would like to view my profile and check out some of my articles, you can find me at: http://www.triond.com/users/Tracey Parece
