Just a run on the things, that get us interested in things, we might not normally pay much attention to?? Wimbledon, world cup, Scottish open what next.

No sooner had the flavour

Of strawberries n cream

Gone from the scene

When low and behold

Its b.b.Q’s n beer

The world cup oh dear

Spain of all nations

Who would have thought

Well, what ever comes next

I don’t much mind

I’ll go with the flow

But!

Stay clear of the Tide

For the flotsam and jetsam

Will slip from your grip

Talking grip its the Scottish open what’s next.

We must give Spain her dues; Before the whole world she has proved that she (at least in that regards) is the very best. Nice choice of words with this poem with its very American flavor.

I like this. I like how you summed up current events in a poem. Very good job.

I know. My hubby is glued to the TV watching the golf. Are you a golfer too? I love the poem.

Well expressed, and I really understand. I even wrote an article warning against betting on Spain to win the WC!

I watched Scottish Golf on Sunday. God! What a tough golf course!
Much different than what I was used to watching. Looked like iron man golf, and the kid from South Africa ran away with it. Big Fun.
