A flirtatious response to Morgana’s poetic invitation.

The Wind and the Sea

By Brad O’Neill inspired by Morgana

You are indeed the sea I shall be your sky,
your waves pushing my winds to satisfy.

I shall call on my clouds to fill your being,
lightning shall strike nothing between.

The thunder shall declare my love,

a pounding, pulsing crash from above!

The passion from our bodies shall drown the land
together we rage a tempest, stronger than any man.

Entire cities will fall to your waves,
when my wind pushes deeply into your nave.

The moisture from your sea shall empower me,
swelling my clouds with strength indeed.

and after we release all the power within,

the song of the sea birds will gently begin.

I will toss playfully along your waves,
never being to far away.

You can be the bath in which I bathe
and I will be the strength and power you crave.

You need only look to the sky
and I shall be plunging ready to dive.

A nice, symphonic collision of passions, rhythmically crashing together. Reminds me of a line from the Stones’ “Jumpin’ Jack Flash”: “I was born in a crossfire hurricane..”.
“Entire cities will fall to your waves,
when my wind pushes deeply into your nave.” – Whooya…If I were the wind, that’s where I’d be too.
