The Winds of Persecution

With God on our side, why should we even be conserned what man or satan tries to do to us?

I read there in the Bible
Of Steven, James and Paul.
Now they were punished for their faith
And dying gave their all.

The winds of persecution
Are but a tool of God.
They blow the ash, fan the coals
And bring a brighter flame

Down through the early ages
The Devil was in a fix.
Each time he tried to stop Christ
The church grew greater still.

The Devil has no power
To exterminate the church.
The Gates of Hell can’t prevail
Against the work of Christ

Fear not the powers of darkness
Fear not the flame nor sword.
Our Savior stands beside us
To give us our reward.

Fear not to one who will kill,
Or torture, maime or steal.
We serve a greater master
And by His blood He’ll heal.

In all things give thanks…the steps of the righteous is directed by the Lord…nothing happens outside His will….He knows the beginning to the end… Great share
